How to Measure Your T-Slot

To ensure you buy the correct Workholding Components, you must measure the "Throat Width" of your machine table.

  • 10mm - 12mm Slots: Common in smaller VMCs and drill tap centers. Usually require M8 or M10 hardware.
  • 14mm - 18mm Slots: The standard for most industrial Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). Typically paired with M12 or M16 studs.
  • 20mm - 28mm Slots: Heavy-duty tables found in HMCs and large boring machines. Requires M20 or M24 forged T-bolts.
